Acton Difference Makers

At last night’s FTCSC School Board meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing outstanding Difference Makers from our FTCSC Flashes Community and welcomed a few future leaders.

Acton Principal Mrs. Brooke Wessel-Burke recognized Mrs. Heather Luke, Behavior Support Room Teacher, along with her dedicated instructional assistant team: Kaila Doan, Jessica Hartley, & Jaycee Erisman. Mrs. Wessel-Burke shared that the team creates an environment where students from across the district learn, grow, and experience success. Their Meaningful Collaboration creates classrooms where students support one another, celebrate positive choices, & build confidence every day. Their leadership & commitment truly Make a Difference!

Adams Principal Ms. Jakala Greig honored the Related Arts Team: Natalie Brown, Jenny Monday, Kelli Lewis, Amy Roberts, and Vickie Coney, for their powerful impact on every student at Adams. They launched the school year with a schoolwide flower-planting project, building community. They also intentionally aligned Art, Music, PE, & Media lessons with students’ homeroom learning, exemplifying Purposeful Learning in action. Their Meaningful Collaboration and creativity in supporting all learners show that the “sum is greater than its parts.” They are FTCSC Difference Makers!

Also, Renelle Hui, 4th Grade Science/Social Studies teacher, recently returned from a military deployment to Honduras. She expressed gratitude to district leaders & principals for their support during her time away. We proudly support those who serve & are grateful for Renelle’s continued impact on our FTCSC Flashes Community. She was presented with a token of appreciation for her service in the classroom & to our country.

Finally, we were also honored to have Boy Scouts in attendance working toward their Communications Merit Badge: Jack Stevens, 10th Grade, FC; Isaac Calvert, 7th Grade, FCJH; and Lucas Pulse, 6th Grade, Kitley Intermediate. They stayed for the entire meeting, definitely earning that badge! We are proud of them & grateful to see students engaged in civic learning and leadership development.
