In addition to participating in conference sessions, they had the opportunity to engage in Meaningful Collaboration and Purposeful Learning with school board members and superintendents from across the country—sharing ideas, learning from one another, and bringing back insights that can help strengthen our schools.

As part of Pillar 1 of the FTCSC Strategic Plan—Valuing Every Voice—Dr. Huotari met with the Student Advisory Council today to discuss current events across the district, answer questions, and hear ideas directly from students. This ongoing dialogue provides a meaningful opportunity for student perspectives to help inform decision-making and strengthen our school community.
In addition to engaging with students, Dr. Huotari regularly connects with families and community members through Coffee Talks and the Community Ambassadors program. These efforts reflect FTCSC’s continued commitment to open communication, collaboration, and ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

Guided by Mrs. Kami Phelps, these students showcased creativity, meaningful collaboration, and Flashes pride on the state stage.
